Intrusion — A body of works in which the world appears as a fractured surface. Unstable. Can what we call the “world” still bear this name? Would “the world” still be a stable stage for human action—a neutral backdrop, available for exploitation, organization, and progress?
The ecological crisis announces the bankruptcy of this fiction. What seemed like support becomes an agent. What was landscape now responds. The world intrudes: a system that reacts, destabilizes, and renders uncertain the modern promises of control. Wars and geopolitical reconfigurations, energy crises, population displacements, and the collapse of symbolic boundaries compose this picture of growing instability, in which the idea of the world as a stable totality no longer holds. The series gathered in Intrusion address the impossibility of continuing to name as “world” that which reveals itself to be fractured, vulnerable, and intrusive. Collapse of an ontology and the need to compose other forms of coexistence. To suppose that some light persists.                                                                                                  __________________                                                                                                     Intrusão — Conjunto de trabalhos em que o mundo aparece como superfície fraturada. Instável. O que chamamos de “mundo” ainda pode sustentar esse nome? “O mundo” ainda seria um cenário estável da ação humana — um fundo neutro, disponível à exploração, à organização e ao progresso? A crise ecológica anuncia a falência dessa ficção. O que parecia suporte torna-se agente. O que era paisagem responde. O mundo intrude: um sistema que reage, que desestabiliza, que torna incertas as promessas modernas de controle. Guerras e reconfigurações geopolíticas, crises energéticas, deslocamentos de populações e o colapso de fronteiras simbólicas compõem esse quadro de instabilidade crescente, no qual a ideia de mundo como totalidade estável já não se sustenta. As séries reunidas em Intrusão endereçam a impossibilidade de continuar nomeando como “mundo” aquilo que se revela fraturado, vulnerável e intrusivo. Colapso de uma ontologia e necessidade de compor outras formas de coexistência. Supor que alguma luz persiste.
